March 3/ marzo 3 – Door Decorating/ Puertas Decoradoras

Teachers will have their doors decorated for Si Se Puede Week. Come check them out!

March 5/ marzo 5 – Beautification Day After School/ Día de embellecimiento después de la escuela

One of the ways people remember Cesar Chavez is to do community service work, to give back to their community.

SMG will have our own Community Service event on Wednesday, March 5 after school. Students are welcome to sign up to stay from 2:45-4:15, to help with gardening, clean up around campus, and art!

SMG students are welcome to sign up and stay, with or without their guardian. Younger siblings are welcome to attend with guardian as well. High school students are welcome to participate for community service hours. We will meet at the library for a quick snack info.

If your child is in TK, Kinder, or 1st grade, we will have a parent or staff walk those students to the Farm/Garden. Please be prepared to meet your child at the Farm/Garden to pick up.

Please complete one form per SMG student.

March 6/ marzo 6 – Middle School Sign Decorating/ Decoración de Carteles

Middle school students will decorate signs that they may carry, or younger students may carry during Thursday’s march. Decorating will happen in the quad, March 6, during brunch and lunch time.

March 7/ marzo 7 – Campus March at 1:30 pm/ Marcha a las 1:30pm

Join us for a march inspired by Mr. Anaya’s longstanding tradition, where each class has crafted banners and students can make signs to carry along the route.

The march, led by Mr. Anaya’s class, starts at 1:30 pm, with students wearing Fun Run color shirts for organization.

Expect speeches, singing, and dancing at the outdoor stage. Students can create flags and signs in class, adding to the vibrant celebration of unity and community spirit.
